Wall Supported Rotational Lunge with Dumbbell Driver – Thoracic Mobility

In the video below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients performing a wall supported (hand on wall) rotational lunge with dumbbell rotation through the upper limb.  This exercise drill was prescribed to help encourage thoracic spine rotation using both the lower limb and upper limb to drive movement.  A light load was added to help drive the movement, but not shut down the movement.  This is a suitable exercise for those who are not in pain and are looking to improve on the spinal movement.

This blog post was written by osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy.  Principle Four Osteopathy is one of Melbourne City CBD and Docklands leading osteopathy clinics.  We have an interest in movement and exercise prescription.  Should you have any questions about sports related injuries and the rehab of these, please touch base with us on 03 9670 9290 or book online to see us at www.principlefourosteopathy.com.
