Single Arm Pallof Press – Shoulder and Trunk Bracing Focus
I recently saw a facebook post by physio Adam Meakins who was performing a single arm pallof press and thought I would give this a go as I have always performed a bilateral hand hold. The single arm pallof press hold is a great variation as your shoulder is required to work harder against either a medial or lateral band pull (depending on which side the band is attached to an anchor). Not only is your shoulder girdle required to work hard, but so is your torso as you work to brace against any trunk rotation.
