In the videos below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy performing two different overhead reactive exercises that can be incorporated into the later stages of a rehab or return to performance program for an overhead athlete. The reactive overhead band work requires control from the shoulder girdle out to the hand across a variety of overhead positions. In the second video we see overhead reactive bouncing of the swiss ball against the wall. This requires the individual to be able to react to the moving ball and also catch and create force by bouncing the ball onto the wall.

Please make sure you consult your health practitioner if you are thinking of trying these exercises out and are currently experiencing a shoulder complaint or rehabilitating from a shoulder complaint.
