Check out the latest demonstration of one of my clients carrying out an integrated lunge onto step with various arm driver positions. Special thanks to Jules who let me video her and post this. She is currently recovering from chronic left hip flexor/adductor injury and poorly functioning glutes. This exercise was prescribed to help improve general lower limb strength through range of movement, with a focus in the sagittal and frontal plane. Lunging into various planes of movement place differing stresses on various areas of the hip/pelvis and lower limb and therefore different muscles groups. The arm drivers have been added to increase and decrease load through the glutes and quadriceps.
