Lower Limb Resistance & Rehab Workshop – Professional Development For The Allied Health Practitioner

This weekend just gone I had a great time presenting with strength and conditioning coach Martyn Girvan at Elite Sports Performance to 15 osteopaths and 1 massage therapist.  This was the second in our 5 part workshop series that is taking a look at all things movement and training relating to the lower limb.  In this workshop just gone by, we covered strength training in the gym environment and reviewed and undertook an active warm up/mobility program focusing on the ankle/foot, knee and hip joints and all associated key muscle groups.  Followed by this we reviewed the hip hinge, squat, step up/down, lunge, single leg balance reach, jumping and hopping.  We look at progressions for the injured client through to return to play/performance/activity.

For those wanting to find out about our 5 part lower limb workshop series that covers gait assessment, resistance training, pilates application, chronic pain and movement variability and tendinopathy management, please click on the link below:

We have a great group of practitioners ranging from osteopaths, strength and conditioning coaches, pilates educators and physiotherapists involved.

Check out some of the instagram posts from our recent event below.  For those interested in attending our workshop series in 2017, please email info@principle4.com as we will be looking to run this again.  We will also be looking to run an upper limb workshop series for those interested also.
