Principle Four Osteopathy osteopaths Heath Williams (KLT Level 2) and Shaun Coghlan (KLT Level 1) have undertaken additional post graduate training in Kinetic Link Training (KLT) which was developed by Sports Physiotherapist Wayne Rogers and currently integrate this regularly into the treatment and management programs of their clients for both rehabilitation and performance.
KLT is a fantastic way to train for rehab and performance because it integrates the whole body with a focus on the kinetic chain. The KLT approach is more than just isolated muscle training in that it trains movements rather than muscles that demands the individual balance and coordinate their movements. KLT can be adapted through the acute training variables to produce an endurance, strength or power focus.
Kinetic Link Training can be performed using many of the common equipment tools we see in the gym (cables, dumbbells, kettlelbells, barbells) as well as from a rehab focus with therabands and theratubing.
