Kettlebell Assisted Squat Mobility Drill – Improving Your Hip Mobility

In the image below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients performing a kettlebell assisted squat at the Melbourne City CBD clinic.  The client will perform a goblet squat and at the bottom of the squat they will then look to uncurl the weight so that it acts a counterbalance and allows the individual to sit in the bottom of the squat hold, tuck their hips under and bring the trunk into a more vertical position.  This can also be performed more as strength exercise by having the individual actively hold the position above a resting relaxed position.
