Supine Bent Knee Diaphragmatic Breathing

In the image below you will see osteopath Heath Williams performing a supine knees bent (abdominals relaxed) breathing exercise.  The focus is on breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth and feeling the abdominals raise on the breathe in and minimising upper rib movement.  There are many people who live in a state of upper rib breathing and rarely breathe deeply into their abdomen.  Be sure to focus on gentle normal breathing patters so to not put your self in a state of hyperventilation.
