Push Up to Single Arm Overhead Plank Reach – Upper Body and Core Training

In the video below you will see a variation on the traditional plank that involves letting the trunk relax and the back going into extension whilst reaching overhead. This is a challenging exercise as it requires the individual to stabilise through one arm that is locked out whilst letting the body relax whilst reaching overhead and then returning to a bilateral high plank position.  Throw in a push up in between repetitions and you have a great exercise that focuses a lot on upper body strength as well as the core.
