I have recently started using Kinesio Taping for a number of different sports injuries and general injuries such as neck (cervical spine) pain, back pain, knee (patellar) pain, achilles pain and shoulder pain in the clinic at Principle Four Osteopathy with some good results.  I have typically used the rigid tape for many of these conditions in the past, however have found the stretching abilities of the kinesiotape/rocktape to be very helpful.  There are times that I will still often use rigid tape for acute lower back pain, postural issues with the mid to upper back and shoulders, however kensiotape/rock tape has been great for other conditions where I don’t want to limit too mobility.

For an idea on how and why kinesiotaping can be used, please watch some of the short video clips that I have sourced from YouTube below.
