In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy performing a ground based 3 point contact posterior cable fly. This is an exercise that largely focuses on the muscles of the shoulder posteriorly whilst also challenging ones trunk and shoulder stability with the ground based leg. Other common posterior fly exercise variations include the dumbbell bent over fly or cable fly. Each of the exercise variations have their pros and cons and rather than choose just one to perform, look to try and alternate different variations into your program on a monthly basis.
