DSC05631 Supported hip flexor mobiliser

For those of you out there who are looking for alternative ways to mobilise or stretch the anterior hip i.e. hip flexor muscles, then make sure you try this kneeling supported hip flexor mobiliser. You will see P4O client in a split kneeling stance and both hands placed on either side of the door frame. The grounded knee is placed on a pad or perhaps a cushion or towel if you are going to do this at home. Once you have found a gentle stretch in a static position, gently move back and forth (anterior to posterior). There are also options to modify this by changing the angle of the back leg, position of the arms on the door ways etc. This client will perform 2- 3 sets each side of the body for 60-90 seconds each day.
