Getting to Our Melbourne CBD Clinic from Hawthorn

Our Collins Street clinic is easy to reach from Hawthorn by train, tram or car.

If you are travelling by train, the Lilydale, Belgrave and Alamein lines all stop at Hawthorn Station before continuing to Flinders Street Station. The train journey usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes. From Flinders Street, it’s an easy walk to our clinic on Collins Street.

You can also catch Route 70 or Route 75 trams towards the city. Both have stops close to our clinic. Alternatively, if you’re driving, the journey will generally take around 20 to 25 minutes via Burwood Road and CityLink or along Bridge Road and Wellington Parade, outside the busiest traffic periods. You’ll find metered parking on Collins Street and the surrounding roads, along with several secure public parking garages within walking distance.

Our Approach

At Principle Four Osteopathy, we are determined to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. That is why we always take the time first to gain a thorough appreciation of what is contributing to your symptoms before recommending the right course of action.

This is important because understanding your health history, work, daily activities and movement patterns allows us to develop the most effective management plan. One that will utilise a combination of hands-on treatment, rehabilitation, exercise advice and education to support your recovery.

Additionally, our osteopaths are fully qualified strength-and-conditioning coaches. This means that, where appropriate, they can incorporate targeted exercise and rehabilitation to expedite your return to work, sport or everyday activities.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

We always try to see patients as quickly as possible and accept eligible referrals under Medicare Chronic Disease Management plans, TAC, DVA and WorkCover.

During your first consultation, your osteopath will discuss your symptoms, medical history and lifestyle before completing a physical assessment. They will also explain what they find and answer any questions you have, before recommending a personalised treatment plan.

If required, they may even administer treatment in your first appointment.
