The benefits of hanging
The benefits of hanging are many. Not only will one build up their grip strength, but it also feels therapeutic for both the shoulders and trunk. Start with only hanging for short periods of time and build things up gradually. For those with shoulder related issues, please consult your health practitioner before starting.
In the photo above osteopath Heath Williams is demonstrating a pronated (palms forward) and supinated (palms away) grip variation. Try both out to build up your grip capacity and hanging strength.
