Plyometric Jumping For Vertical Power

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams performing some plyometric vertical jumps.  Vertical jumping is a great way to test and measure ones vertical power production through the body.   The vertical box jump is a simple way to measure ones power without the use of tools if you are working in large groups or dont have access to measuring devices.

Please remember that box jumping requires good coordination of movement and places a lot of load and demand on the body, so try and be very mindful of jumping  volume when prescribing and undertaking this in your workout program.
