In the videos below you will see some of the exercise strategies we have adopted for an achilles tendinopathy complaint. Exercises include:
- Heavy slow resistance loading – isolated calf raise (gastroc bias) and bent knee (soleus bias)
- Plyometrics
- Kinetic chain loading exercises (squat, deadlift)
This list is not exhaustive and is an evolving program, but should give you some insight into how one might look to use strength exercises to assist with the rehab plan for an achilles tendinopathy.
