Functional Movement Exercise Combinations
I see the squat, lunge, step, single leg and hip hinge as all being functional movement patterns that we perform on a regular basis and should be incorporated into everyones training program to ensure we build efficiency and variability in our ability to perform these movements. In the videos below you will see osteopath Heath Williams performing a couple of different functional movement exercise combinations with resistance. The top video combines a squat to step up and the bottom video combines a squat to lateral lunge. There is an endless number of exercises that one can perform and I encourage you to try making up your own little routines.
