How to Read This Table
Some health funds pay a fixed dollar amount per visit, regardless of the appointment fee. Others pay a percentage of the consultation fee, up to an annual limit. Many policies combine osteopathy and chiropractic under a shared annual limit.
How to Estimate Your Out-of-Pocket Cost
A simple way to estimate your out-of-pocket cost is:
Your appointment fee
minus
Your health fund rebate
For example:
• Appointment fee: $150
• Health fund rebate: $40
• Estimated out-of-pocket cost: $110
On-the-Spot Claiming (HICAPS)
We offer on-the-spot claiming via HICAPS for most major private health funds. If your fund does not support HICAPS, we can provide a receipt for you to claim manually.
Important Information
Rebates depend on your specific policy, not just your health fund
- Annual limits may reduce or eliminate rebates later in the year
- Telehealth rebates vary between funds and policies
- Exact rebate amounts should always be confirmed directly with your health fund.
- The rebate information in this document is provided as a general guide only. Principle Four Osteopathy cannot guarantee rebate amounts, as these are determined by individual health fund policies and remaining annual limits.
