In the video below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients demonstrating a bosu ball dumbbell lunge. This is a good exercise for those wishing to challenge ones base of support/balance in the lunge when training with sub maximal loads. Usually I will prescribe an exercise like this where there is a need to challenge ones ability to adapt to pertubation in the movement but are not required to perform with heavier weight loads. Adding extremely heavy weights to an exercise like this is only likely to put oneself at risk of injury.
