Band Assisted Archer Pull Up
In the video below you will see my good mate Yujin Lim Exercise Physiologist of Optimal Health (Melbourne University) performing a band assisted arrow pull up. This is a great way to build some volume into the arrow pull up. Typically when one starts with performing archer pull up they are limited by strength and often can only perform a couple or perhaps are not able to perform the movement through its full range of motion. The band aids this by helping reduce the load in the pulling and lowering phase of the movement. One can progress this exercise by reducing the band assistance until they are able to perform this with just their bodyweight.
