Weight Plate Squat Progression

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy demonstrating a weight plate squat progression.  You should start by selecting a light weight plate i.e. 10kg and resting it on your head and then holding this out in front with your hands.  This position allows one to move through a squat with a more upright trunk position and can be seen as a regression from an overhead squat or front squat with the bar racked in the clean position.

If you would like to find out more about how to improve your squat technique, make sure you touch base with us at Principle Four Osteopathy.
