The Watson Standing Cable Chest Press

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy performing a Watson standing cable chest press at Elite Sports Performance.  Recently we acquired a bunch of new Watson exercise equipment from the UK and I thought I would road test this out. The Watson standing cable chest press is designed as such that you will stand in an upright position with your back against the vertical bench and then you load on your weight plates and perform a bilateral press.  The great thing about this equipment is that one can stand.  For those individuals who find performing a seated chest press problematic for what ever reason i.e. pain associated with sitting, this is a nice piece that lets you work around it.  Whilst the chest press moves through a fixed plane, there is the option to vary the grip height and position so that you can vary the pressing movement patterns (narrow or wide grip options).
