Wall Squat Variations with Anterior Press

In the two videos below you will see two of Principle Four Osteopathy clients demonstrating a wall squat variation (body weight and swiss ball assisted) with an anterior weight press.  This exercise was prescribed to incorporate squats for the clients and load up their lower body, but at the same time maintaining stability and keeping a straight back.  The wall squat and variation is also great because you can easily control the degree of knee and hip bend through the movement.  The anterior loaded press was added to increase a slight challenge to ones upper limb and core.

There are many variables that can be played around with in these exercises i.e. sets, reps, depth of squat, start/finish position, speed/tempo, load and foot positions.
