Trunk Side Bending Stretch For The Office Worker or Manual Handling Worker

In the image below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy and Corporate Work Health Australia demonstrating a gentle trunk side bending stretch that is great for relieving tension in the trunk for those workers who perform seated based office work or regularly perform manual handling at work.  This exercise is performed by running ones hand down the side of their body from one side to the next.  The aim is to avoid trunk flexion or rotation when performing this.  The individual should move through the exercise in a slow and controlled manner and perform 3-5 repetitions each side.
