Thoracic Spine and Upper Limb Mobility Drill

Mobility in the thoracic spine and upper limb are important when it comes to having a healthy shoulder for weight training.  Typically when clients to present to the clinic with shoulder complaints arising from weight training, more often than not there is a mobility restriction found in the shoulder itself or the thoracic spine.  In the image below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients demonstrating how they are working on improving their thoracic spine extension and overhead shoulder flexion position.   Disclaimer – please have your practitioner prescribe this for you before trying it should you currently have any shoulder pain or instability.
