The Turkish Get Up

I have recently started to program the Turkish Get Up into both my individual training program, but also more commonly in my clients programs.  The reason is that it is a great exercise that trains the whole body, has the individual needing to roll, push, sweep, kneel, lunge and stand from the ground and back down again.   When broken down into its segments, it can be used to focus on improving mobility and stability in the shoulder, torso and lower limb.

There are a number of variations on the Turkish Get Up, however I have posted a video sourced from YouTube below that highlights probably the most common version.
