The Camber Bar Back Squat

The Camber Bar is a speciality Olympic Bar that is designed as such that when you are squatting or performing a goodmorning with it on your back, the load of force will vary greatly compared to a traditional olympic bar.  Therefore the individual is required to control this weight throughout the movement of the squat or goodmorning.

In the video below we see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy performing a camber bar back squat at his gym Elite Sports Performance in Spotswood Melbourne.

Using speciality bars like the camber bar, safety squat bar and others can be useful for varying up ones training program for variety and to have the body have to adapt to a different training stimulus.
