Swiss Ball Plank Variations – Challenging Your Core

In the videos below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients performing a number of swiss ball plank variations.  The plank is an exercise that involves bracing and stabilising ones entire body against gravity.  Add the swiss ball to this to create a stability challenge (moving environment under the upper limb).  In addition to this you will also see a couple of variations i.e. ball movement back and forth and circular movements.  These have been prescribed to increase the challenge of the exercise so that it has to respond to a change in the environment constantly.  Hence forcing the body to learn and adapt in order to perform this exercise successfully.
