Strongfirst Giraya Kettlebell Course
Osteopath Heath Williams recently undertook the 1 day Strongfirst Giraya Kettlebell course which was held at The Strong Room in Oakley. The course was led by Master Trainer Shaun Cairns who travelled over to Australia from South Africa. We also had a number of great Strongfirst Instructors help out on the day which was fantastic for 1:1 teaching and learning.
Strongfirst strength was developed by Pavel in 2013. Pavel is one of the worlds leaders when it comes to strength and conditioning with the use of Kettlebells. Find out more about Strongfirst by clicking here.
The 1 day course was very detailed and took us through a step by step process from the ground up in the learning how to safely and efficiently perform a Kettlebell Deadlift, Kettlebell Swing, Kettlebell Turkish Get Up, Kettlebell Goblet Squat and Kettlebell Miliatry Press.
In addition to these key lifts, we were also taken through a comprehensive movement preparation/warm up phase as well as shown numerous mobility and accessory strengthening exercises to incorporate into our everyday training routine.
Osteopath Heath Williams is now planning on completing the Strongfirst Level 1 Kettlebell Certification which will be held in Melbourne/Sydney in early 2016.
