Stability Assisted Single Leg Squat – Bottom Position Drill

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy demonstrating a stability assisted single leg squat – bottom position drill (holding onto the bar reduces load) bottom position drill.  The idea is to lower oneself down to the bottom of the squat (feet together) and then lift and stretch one leg out in front as one would be in the bottom of the single leg squat.  It is important to train all phases of the movement (top, mid and bottom) and each will have their unique demands i.e. strength, balance, flexibility.
