Squat With Anterior Weight Hold

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy performing a squat with anterior weight hold.  Squatting with an anterior weight hold requires the individual to maintain an upright trunk position and places additional loading on the trunk and upper limbs.  The goal is to maintain a steady upper limb position and have the weight move up and down at the same rate as the hips.

One might choose this exercise if they are looking to build on ones squat depth as well as add additional loading to ones trunk and upper body.
