Split Kneeling Stance Core Training

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy performing a split kneeling stance core training exercise that requires you to stabilise through the hip and torso as you move the weight plate across the midline from low to high to low.  This is a great all round core exercise if you are wanting to focus on hip and trunk stability across the midline.  This exercise can be progressed/regressed by varying the start stance (wider stance = increased stability), weight/external load, range of motion of the arm movements, speed, repetitions, duration, sets etc.
