Single Leg Isometric Hip Stability And Band Abduction

In the video below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy client demonstrating single leg balance with band hip abduction with the non grounded leg.  The aim of this exercise is to challenge both hips.  The grounded leg is working isometrically at the hip (with an aim to maintain a neutral pelvis and trunk position) with a focus on the lateral hip musculature whilst the non loading leg is performing banded hip abduction (lateral hip strength).
