Single Leg Balance Reach Exercise With Toe Touch For Increased Support

In the videos below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients performing a single leg balance reach with toe touch (non weight bearing leg) to assist with support at the outer ranges of their current reach position.  In these videos we have focused purely on balance reach exercises anteriorly and posteriorly (in sagittal plane) and also lateral to the side (frontal plane).  This is because we want to limit frontal plane across the other side of the body which may encourage rolling of the ankle which was part of the problem relating to this injury as well as the transverse plane (rotation) which the ankle is not quite ready for yet.  The client self selects the distance reach and is advised to work in pain free ranges, with the goal working on balance and control.
