Single Arm Push Up Progression

There are many different ways to work towards being able to perform a single arm push up.  In the video below we see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy reduce the base of support and stability as part of his strategy towards building single arm strength and have him work towards his goal of performing a single arm push up.

Other strategies to work towards developing your single arm push up is to use a powerband to offload weight, widen the foot stance to increase stability, change the position of the push up to reduce the difficulty of the exercise.  Some examples are demonstrated below.
