Single Arm Push Up Progression

For those of you who are looking to be able to perform a single arm push up, the video below by osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy is one example of what one can do to build some strength into their upper body.  The exercise involves one performing an incline one handed push up whilst maintaining a torso position parallel to the bar.  To make this exercise easier, start with a greater incline to reduce the load.

If you are currently suffering from an upper limb injury, please consult with your osteopath before trying this exercise as it places a lot of load through your shoulder girdle.
