Simple & Effective Shoulder Postural Exercise

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy demonstrating a simple yet effective postural drill to help improve ones awareness of shoulder positioning when standing.  All the individual needs to do is stand with their palms facing towards them and then turn their hands so that their palms face away from them.  When you perform this active movement of the upper limb, you help take the shoulders from a protracted to retracted position.  This exercise should be performed effortlessly and one should be mindful of feeling what happens to their shoulders during this movement.
