Safety Squat Bar

The safety squat bar is great for allowing those to squat who have a limited range of motion through their shoulders or a specific shoulder injury.  The safety squat bar can also be used for goodmornings and also eliminates the need to get the shoulder into and externally rotated position.

In the video below we see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy use the safety squat bar for a back squat.

When performing this exercise it is important to maintain a neutral spine position and let the knees drop out to open up through the hip to allow for a deeper squat.
