Rope Pull Ups – Training Your Grip + Back

As an osteopath who uses my hands regularly when applying manual therapy with clients, you would assume that my grip would be quite strong just through occupational conditioning.  Whilst my grip is no doubt probably stronger than the average desk jockey, it doesn’t mean that I can skip from training and incorporating grip work into my training.  Like any exercise, it can often be very task specific and I feel it is important that you train your body across various movement patterns, positions and with various training tools to provide a variety of training stimulus that the body has to adapt to.  In the image below you will see another variation on grip and back training that involves performing a pull up with a rope.
