I thought I would post this short instructional video on how to perform a kettlebell Romanian deadlift on our webpage because I recently shared this with a client of mine who is training at home. The Romanian deadlift is a stiff legged (partial knee bend) deadlift that biases work through the hips (gluteals, hamstrings).

The kettlebell or dumbbell are great tools to use when starting to learn the Romanian deadlift because you can keep the load close to your centre of gravity and base of support. The barbell is the other common tool used, but the load sits forward of your centre of gravity and therefore adds another layer of complexity. We will often progress to the barbell if we are looking to increase load in the RDL, but will always often start with KB or DB.
