Recently Osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy attended a course by Rocktape that looked at its use of taping for lower limb injuries.  Rocktape is very similar to Kinesiotape in that the tape can be stretched unlike the more commonly used rigid tape.  The great thing about Rocktape and Kinesiotape is that it can be used for the treatment and management of many common musculoskeletal conditions.

Lower Limb Conditions Where Rocktape or Kinesiotape Can Be Applied:

  • Plantarfasciitis
  • Achilles Tendinitis
  • Ankle Sprains
  • Calf Sprains
  • Compartment Syndrome/Shin Splints
  • Anterior Knee Pain – Patellar Tendinitis
  • Anterior Knee Pain – Patellar Maltracking Conditions
  • Quadricep Strains
  • ITB Syndrome or Runners Knee
  • Hamstring Strains

Rocktape and Kinesiotape can also be used for many other conditions such as:

  • Acute Lower Back Pain
  • SIJ Injuries
  • Postural Correction To The Neck, Thoracics and Lumbar Spine
  • Shoulder Injuries
  • Tennis and Golfers Elbow
