Road Testing The Yoak

Recently Elite Sports Performance acquired the yoak exercise tool which was designed to be used within many conventional exercises such as the squat, push up, chin up, shoulder press and many others.  Its design is focused around attaching straps to it and then anchoring it to a fixed structure or adding weights to the straps or bands which attach to it, therefore challenging ones stability when performing traditional conventional resistance based exercises. Below are a couple of examples of it is action.  From a personal point of view, the main limitation of the yoak is that it is not long enough to be racked into a conventional power/squat rack and therefore this makes it challenging loading the weight up as the individual is required to lift the yoak + weights off the floor.  I do like the yoak a lot though because of the many great hand holds and when trained with sub maximal and lower loads, it will be great as accessory exercise.
