Welcome To Principle Four Osteopathy’s Spring Newsletter

Daylight savings has just kicked in and the weather is looking on the up.  As a result of this, many of you will be no doubt starting to kick start your exercise program.  For those of you who are looking to start training at the gym, start walking or jogging, undertake pilates/yoga or start training for the golf, tennis, cricket or triathlon season, then maybe it is time to book in at the clinic for a check up and tune up.

Book an appointment at the clinic so that Heath and Abbas can help identify and treat any tight or restricted areas of the body.  If you are wanting to take a more active approach to the treatment and management of your body, then Heath and Abbas can take you through specific stretches, mobility exercises and strengthening exercise to help you achieve your goals.

We Are Always Learning At Principle Four Osteopathy

2013 has been a very busy year for further education for Abbas and Heath.  What does this mean for you?  By further educating ourselves and developing our skills, we are now able to offer you a greater range of assessment, treatment and management options for the treatment of your injuries.

What Have We Learnt This Year?

Rocktape – Treating foot and ankle pain, knee pain, muscle strains, back pain, neck pain and shoulder pain

Check out how Rocktape is applied to the body for the treatment of musculoskeletal complaints such as foot and ankle pain, knee pain, muscle strains, back pain, neck pain and shoulder pain.  Click here to watch some video examples now.

Functional Movement Screening

A Functional Movement Screen involves a 7 step assessment that looks at movement, mobility and strength.  The assessment is scored out of a total of 21 and it helps us to find your baseline for movement and identify any movement limitations.  Based on these results we can then devise a structured exercise and stretching program to help you improve these areas.

Check out the article published by Gray Cook and Lee Burton in the Perform Better Magazine that gives you a step by step look at the Functional Movement Screen.  Click here to read it now.
