Principle Four Osteopathy Are Recruiting – Job Opportunity
Seeking osteopath for part time sub contracting position.
Principle Four Osteopathy has been operating since 2011 and currently has 3 practitioners working across the two clinic locations (Melbourne CBD and Melbourne Docklands). Clinic owner Heath Williams has an interest manual therapy, exercise prescription/strength and conditioning and workplace ergonomics and this is reflected in the clients that we see at the practice.
Our practice largely sees clients aged 20-50 years. Our typical client is an office worker with MSK complaints due to desk based work tasks or due to being active with sports/activities such as AFL, running, triathlons, cycling, golf soccer, crossfit, powerlifting, bodybuilding and general strength training.
The clinic currently has a great network of sports doctors, exercise physiologists, strength and conditioning coaches, crossfit coaches, personal trainers, pilates teachers, myotherapists, massage therapists and yoga/barre teachers that we regularly work with.
The clinic currently has a remote reception service and uses cliniko as its practice management system.
Current services offered within the clinic include: manual therapy, functional movement screening and exercise prescription/strength and conditioning consultations.
Principle Four Osteopathy osteopaths also currently perform offsite corporate workplace ergonomic assessments and training for osteopath Heath Williams company Corporate Work Health Australia.
Our Melbourne City CBD clinic is located within a personal training studio (Jon Weller PT Studio) that is fully equipped for you to use for the treatment and management of your clients. Within the studio there are 3 personal trainers and 2 exercise physiologist you would be working alongside with.
Our Melbourne Docklands clinic is located within a pilates and yoga/barre studio with basic resistance training equipment that can be used for movement assessment and basic rehabilitation/exercise prescription. Within the studio there are multiple studio and small group reformer pilates instructors and yoga/barre teachers you would be working alongside.
About The Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated osteopath with great communication and rapport building skills who is capable of delivering both in room manual therapy (HVLA, soft tissue, mobilisation/articulation, dry needling/taping a preference) and exercise prescription/strength and conditioning for out of room (in the studio) consultations. The successful candidate must also be able to work effectively on their own due to each clinic location only ever having one osteopath working at one time.
The successful candidate will provided clinical based learning opportunities in the following areas if required/desired: Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Strength and Conditioning (exercise programming, technique training and exercise prescription to suit the clients needs). We can also provide clinical based training if required/desired (case history taking, assessment, manual therapy technique application and case management planning). Offsite clinical based ergonomic training will also be provided (desk based, vehicle based and home office based ergonomic risk assessment and training – preventative and injury management).
Currently we have a range of shifts available across the two clinic locations and ideally the osteopath will pick up a minimum of 2 shifts at one of the clinic locations. We have a Monday AM (8-1pm), Tuesday PM (2-7pm) and Thursday PM (2-7pm) shift available at our Melbourne CBD clinic (within Jon Weller Personal Training Studio) and we have a Monday PM (2-7pm), Wednesday PM (1-7pm) and Friday AM or PM shift available at our Docklands clinic (Pilates on Bourke). If the successful candidate is also available outside of these shifts we will also endeavour to provide you with corporate ergonomic consulting when and where possible.
We are looking for a March/April start date preferably as one of our osteopaths will be leaving at the beginning of March.
The successful candidate must also be registered with AHPRA and hold the appropriate insurance coverage and first aid/working with children’s checks.
We would welcome all osteopaths (new grads included) to apply by emailing your CV and to firstname.lastname@example.org. The closure date for CV applications is 19th February 2017 and we will shortlist applicants for the interview process shortly after.
