Powerband Tricep Push Down Exercise

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams performing a powerband tricep push down exercise.  This is a great exercise for those wishing to build their triceps muscles (for the body builder), but also those who are needing to work on building tendon strength (when performed at low loads, high reps).  The design of the band, much like a theraband or thera tube is that as it is lengthens the effort increases proportionally.  Therefore there is increased effort in this exercise as one extends at the elbow.  This is very different to a cable based load where the load stays consistent throughout.   One can vary their start position as well as grip to focus on training the triceps muscles in this exercise.  My favourite hand holds are neutral, supinated and pronated grips.
