Powerband Hip Pull Aparts

This exercise was first shown to me by Strength and Conditioning coach Martyn Girvan of Elite Sports Performance.  It is incorporated into ones movement preparation phase prior to a lower body workout or for those needing some additional accessory work to engage the gluteal muscles.

By placing the band around ones knees, have them sit with their feet flat on the ground and then actively pulling the knees apart from one another whilst maintaining balanced contact through the ground, ones gluteal muscles (glute medius mostly) will fire up in no time.
