Posterior Fly Exercises For The Back and Shoulder – A Couple Of Cool Variations

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy demonstrating a couple of variations on the posterior fly exercise.  This is a great exercise for building strength around the shoulder girdle and back.  In the first video (seated posterior fly) we have added increased stability through sitting.  This could be progressed to a standing or split kneeling stance to alter ones base of support.  In the second video you will see a more dynamic version that incorporates a backwards lunge with posterior fly.  This is a progression on the stable version as it incorporates multiple movements with a narrower base of support.
