Jarrod has been training extremely hard under the guidance of JPS Health and Fitness and all the consistent hard work paid off yesterday as Jarrod was able to PB two of his lifts.

Jarrod’s totals for the day were:

  • Squat – 180kg (equaled his previous best)
  • Bench – 135kg (PB)
  • Deadlifts – 225kg (PB)

For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting Jarrod at the clinic yet, he is available for appointments on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon and Friday mornings.

Jarrod has a special interest in exercise rehabilitation/strength and conditioning and looks to combine active approaches to managing your complaint and having you move towards your goals. In simple terms, he combines manual therapy and exercise to help you get the best outcomes. Prior to studying osteopathy Jarrod studied exercise science and has also completed countless other post graduate studies in the areas of pain science, exercise rehab, strength and conditioning and manual therapy. He is also accredited with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association as a Level 1 coach.

So I guess the next question is, why choose to see Jarrod at the clinic?

  • If you are into your exercise and strength and conditioning and are experiencing aches and pains as a result of training (be it technique, program related, over training), then he can help you out with manual therapy and exercise prescription.
  • If you have a niggling injury where manual therapy only assists with symptom management and want to take more control of managing your complaint through exercise, then he can help you with an exercise program.
  • If you are looking to compete in powerlifting and or are needing to improve the technical side of the big 3 lifts or accessory lifts, then he can review your lifts and provide you with specific coaching
