Overhead Load Hold Single Leg Balance To Reverse Lunge

In the video below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients performing a single leg hold (non grounded hip raised to 90 degrees) overhead hold with reverse lunge.  This is a great exercise as it incorporate a number of challenging aspects.  The single leg overhead hold is a great place to start as the overhead hold demands trunk stability.  One is then required to move into a backwards lunge and then repeat the movement.   This is certainly a drill that I often give my clients who run who need to work on hip stability unilaterally.
