What Do You Get For Your Investment in The Move Well – Move Often Pilates Package?

1.  Initial Consultation With An Osteopath @ Principle Four Osteopathy

The initial part of the Move Well Pilates Package involves a 45-60 minute consultation with one of our osteopaths at Principle Four Osteopathy.

The consultation includes:

  • Case history
  • Orthopaedic assessment
  • Functional Movement Assessment to identify areas of tightness and restriction, strength differences and asymmetries.
  • Written report outlining your mobility, stability and motor control issues and communicates this to the pilates instructor so that they can tailor pilates training to address these and have you meet your goals.

Note: Please ensure that you bring a change of exercise clothes to your appointment so that the assessment can be conducted.

2.  A one-on-one Pilates session including development of a personalised Pilates program.

Using state-of-the-art Pilates apparatus, a private session will allow your instructor to tailor a program incorporating recommendations from the Movement Assessment.

For people new to Pilates, the private session is a great introduction to the Pilates Method and the equipment used.

3.  8 x 60 min Semiprivate Pilates Sessions (no more than 4 people per class) with Pilates on Bourke

The semiprivate sessions are where the personalised program developed in the one-on-one session is put into practice. These classes take place in small groups of up to three other clients (maximum 4 clients per instructor) each working to their own individual program under the close eye of the instructor.

In a Pilates class you will work across the various pieces of Pilates apparatus, from the Reformer, the Cadillac (Trap Table), Wunda Chair, Pilates Barrels, the Mat as well as using other accessories, such as weights and circles. The goals identified in your movement assessment will determine how the Pilates equipment will be utilised.

4.  Follow Up Consultation with an Osteopath @ Principle Four Osteopathy

Following your Pilates sessions you will then undergo a review with your Osteopath to assess whether your goals have been met, areas of improvement and to identify if you require further changes to your Pilates sessions moving forward.

  • 20 minute consultation with the osteopath
  • Orthopedic and Functional Movement Assessment to assess your movement to determine the extent of your improvement and/or review whether there is potential for further improvment in mobility, stability and motor control.

Note:  Please ensure that you bring a change of exercise clothes to your appointment so that the assessment can be conducted.
